Gary Ridley
Gary was born in Coventry in 1980 and has stayed in his home City ever since.
Gary has served the community in a variety of roles since he was first elected as a City Councillor in 2002. Gary has continued to serve as a School Governor at Sherbourne Fields School since 2003 and served in the Cabinet on Coventry City Council between 2004 and 2010.

During his time in the Cabinet Gary secured the survival of Coundon Wedge as a green space,Got the Cathedral Lanes canopy removed and published a vision for a rejuvanated City Centre.

Gary is currently the Shadow Cabinet Member for City Development (since 2010) and he is responsible for holding the Labour Council to account. In the Three months since they regained power in Coventry they have already put up car parking charges in the city centre and they have begun drawing up a list of Council owned green belt sites that could be sold. Gary has opposed all of these moves and a Conservative Council would reverse this damage.

Gary is committed to Coventry and he is committed to Sherbourne Ward. Gary would love to hear from any residents about any issue. Please use the form on this website to get in touch.
